    Default High Altitude launch platform

    Hi All,

Put my hand up to build the telemetry for a "High Altitude Launch Platform" http://www.halp.co.cc

Considering using the Altimeter Module MS5607 and reading specs can work up to 120K feet.
...Problem is I've "studied" the literature and didn't take long for my eyes to start glazing over when I came across the formula to allow for temperature compensation.

If someone has already interface to the MS5607 and could provide he relevant code would be very appreciated!
    Or advise a suitable alternative.

    Thanks,

    Rob.
P.S. Also plan to use a GPS module to track it's position (& height), apparently GPS devices are coded to not exceed a ceiling limit of 30000 feet??

Some may be limited but many work higher, 60,000ft seems to be an average limit and 700 knots for speed.I have an old Holux and that does 39000ft ( tested in aircraft) also a HK data logger that does the same. Some careful Googling and you will find specs, though many sellers do not show their limits, you may have to contact them. Found this site http://showcase.netins.net/web/walli...vrsvs60kft.htm

    Thanks,

But 60K is still short of the target height.
    Can anyone suggest something else?

    Rob.
