Dear Admins,
Even on the background that the number of registered users is increasing
and there are more and more Visitors
I doubt the following is correct:
Most users ever online was 236, - 27th March 2005 at 23:18

It's possible. Whenever the email forum goes down or has a problem, there tends to be a surge of activity here. It also happens when there's some interesting posting, code or thread here and someone mentions it on the email forum, and again you get a rush of folks coming over to see.
Though I must admit I was surprised at that figure (almost a 100 up on the previous high total)... but don't forget that number includes Guests and you don't need to be logged-in to be a Guest.
The cause of the visitors peak maybe the new forum avatar of Melanie or an
attempt to download the entire forum with a multi-threading offline browser.
Gee... maybe I should put up a revealing bikini shot and monitor the stats...
Now I'm embarrassed... I added the Avatar on 26 March...
Mel,
take care,
if the usage statistics goes up after changing your avatar to that bikini (or low ESR catsuit) shot
you will be charged for the extra traffic this caused ;-)
regards
Ralph

Any special?
