    Default PICKit3 Standalone programmer application.

I don't know if this is commonly known already but there's now a stand alone programming application for the PICKit 3 available. See MCSP PICKit 3 page for further details.

And most of the times indeed they do work!

I had some difficulties with the stand alone software, as it seems not to load although in Task Manager it appeared as loaded and running...

Anyway, Pickit2 has more options as it can work like small logic analyser or UART Terminal. Pickit3 does not yet.

Hope Mama Microchip will make an update to include these features since the hardware seems to be more advanced.

    Hi, Dave

You could have been using it since last summer ...

as the Beta version ( no bug seen ) of the standalone program had already been released ...

    certainly the answer is " RTFM " or " RTFDataSheet " !!!
