    Default 16F684 - Capture - Timing - Counting

I have done a bit with interrupts, but am new to the CCP feature. I am looking to use "capture" to measure a shaft revolution time. In addition, I need to count the shaft revolutions (1 pulse per rev) . Does the capture trigger an interrupt of some kind where I could increment a value to count the revolutions? I am looking for some direction. I intend to get the time capture going first, then add the counter if it is possible for both to be done. Thanks much for any input. Scott
