    Default Configuring register problem

    Hey Guys
I'm trying to figure out how to use portd.1 as an I/O pin on a pic18f458. I know that this is a digital and a comparator pin but for the life of me I cannot figure out which registure i need to mess with to turn it into an I/O line. Could someone please give me a little example of how to configure such things.
    please help
    thanks
