    I too have an DS3231M+ running and it works just fine with an 1.5 Farad backup cap. It will run for about 2 or so day's on the cap. Real accurate too...

    Michael, after doing that, set the port pins LOW, That way you wont be inadvertently setting the clock line high or the data line high before sending REAL data.

    I believe you are thinking of the .HEX file. That is whats generated after a Compile and Assemble. As far as PBP/PBC you can give any extension to the file names. I use ,BAS as my default.
