That explains it. But where is this referred?

    Thanks once again.

    Re: PIC19176 Configuration bits

    Thanks Richard.

Yes, this too works OK. Although more typing this helps keeping the comments about each config bit.

Still, question remains, why different MCU need different format.

    Re: PIC19176 Configuration bits

OK, after many compilations with errors, it seems that for the specific PIC needs this exactly syntax of the configs:

    __CONFIG _CONFIG1, _FEXTOSC_OFF & _RSTOSC_HFINTPLL & ...

    But this is not...

    PIC19176 Configuration bits

On some PIC's one can define the CONFIG bits by this syntax (for example on the 18F45K22):

    #CONFIG
CONFIG FOSC = INTIO67 ; Internal oscillator block
    CONFIG PLLCFG = ON ...

    Re: MCC Configurator

    Thanks Richard.

    OK, now it makes sense.

This is saving hours of DS searching for config settings.

    MCC Configurator

I am trying to use the MCC configurator.

Up to this moment I have created an *.mc3 file. What next?

Seems this is some kind of markup language file and I cannot read it or import it to PBP...

Re: Data through GPRS - How to?

    Thanks all.

My project is from a difficult to reach by RF or land line point to a PC somewhere with internet access. I can demand that my client installs thee a static internent connection.

Data through GPRS - How to?

I have to log my PIC measurement data from a point with no internet, phone line or ability to have a cable.

So, the only available solution seems to be the GPRS modem. But since these are not...

Re: Au full quiet out rear..

I agree. Not updating for a long time does hurt the compiler.

Also not many have the skills to do the modifications for the new chips on the DT-INTS (including me).

Last but not least, C is too...

  17. Re: Glitches when changing portD seen on other ports

If it is a low level, it makes sense. Especially if there is no ground around the port lines.

But if it is more, then maybe some settings are wrong.

In any case, having a 0-5 volt square signal...
  18. Re: Doing something at predefined amount of steps?

Just did a quick test on the demo version of PICSimulator.exe with the attached hex file. This program was built for 16F84 and the whole basic code is this:

    led var portb.0

    start:
    high led...

Does this come close to what you want?

    SELECT CASE head_rotation
    CASE 100
    do_this1

    Re: 16F887 hersout doesn't work

Before anything serious, I always try the stupid LED flash test program, best on a pin with no ADC, PWM etc. This way I am sure, clock is OK, configs are OK, so I can move on to the more juicy stuff....

    Re: 16F887 hersout doesn't work

    I would add also these:

    DEFINE HSER_BAUD 9600

And depending on the electric connection of your serial output (TTL or Inverter driver like MAX232 chip) also see this register:

    BAUDCTL =...

Give special attention to the SOA as Henrik stated. At any current! Be carefull because high voltage has many traps.

Re: Is it possible to make LCDOUT asynchronous?

You have to change your way of thinking.

Give the timer example I posted on the other thread a chance and walk your way from there.

What you ask for is time sharing and the best candidate is...
