    Re: Stepper motor question:

    250v applied to +/- 1 Ohm ( NEMA 42 data ) create how much current ???

You were joking, I suppose ...

Re: Psst, Can You Keep a Secret?!?

    Hi, Ioannis

Even after a thoroughful cleaning, the problem comes again ...

Working fine here requires The 5.30 Version ...

    Probably a new Win10 " feature "

    Have a nice day

Re: Psst, Can You Keep a Secret?!?

    Hi, Mpgmike,

    just a question about MPLABX 5.35 : Here ( win 10 up to date ) when I close it ... it automatically re-opens !!!

so, I had to turn back to V 5.30 ... to get something usable.

  6. Re: Crystal oscillator variability between PICs?

    Hi, Ioannis

I didn't receive any notification nor for posts 8 to 11 ... just for the last one ( Yours )

    Best Regards

  7. Re: Crystal oscillator variability between PICs?

If you need high precision timing ... just do use external oscillators like those : https://www.mouser.fr/datasheet/2/96/CTS_11052019_008-0258-0_I_MXO45_MXO45HS-1665263.pdf

    just my two cents ......

    Re: 12F675 vs 12F1840

    Hi, Ioannis,

I'd have a look to internal registers PBP default settings ( the PBP default Config file ) ... as you overwrite most of them ...

    just an idea ...

    Could someone explain ...

    IF ACLine == 0 THEN
@ NOP ' read Line input

  11. Re: PIC18F1220 - Variables initialisation placement makes a change

    Hi, Flotul

From the very far I remember ...

ALL Variables have to be initialized before using them ....

Only one exception : IF you write variables the first time you use them ...

    Say :

    Re: breadboarding

    decoupling capacitors are missing !!!

the " magic " one : 0.1/0.22 µF as close as possible to the supply pins of the Pic , and a " reservoir " one say 100/220 µF in the vicinity ...
    add to that...
  15. Re: Current sensor output modification. PIC or opamp or something else?

    Hi, Pedja ...

you just redraw the TL431 !!!

    http://www.bristolwatch.com/ccs/img2/TL431p.jpg

    just have a look to its " OFF " state current ... : Off-State Cathode Current IK(off) VKA = 40V,...

    Hi, Peter

I wrote = the number the ADC returns ...

Whatever processor you use ( of course, a PIC is much better  )

  17. Re: Current sensor output modification. PIC or opamp or something else?

    Hi, peter

why not use a TL431 or similar " zener effect diode " that will draw some current past 2.5v ...
  18. Re: How is this data being formed from the values given?

    Hi, Peter

I suggest you to try :

    count = ( 1001 x Voltage - 9891 ) / 8 ;)

  20. Re: Converting PULSIN reading to RPM, from PC Fan?

    Hi, Ioannis

No, no ... it's not an error : if you divide the pulse train per 2 ( D Flip-flop ...) ... the High or low pulse you get @ output has the exact rotation period ... ( remember how you...

May be you should consider closer the waveforms to choose the good...

    Hi,

    What's YOUR time lag for " immediate " ...

as always, this is a highly subjective point of view ...

    Generally ... " immediate " means ... Interrupt !
