Hi ultramegaok
I have done a lot of development accessing the PSTN using Pics and PBP Pro
First of all, the DTMF tones out of a PIC are dreadful as produced on the pin - you need to clean them up...
You know, Xnihilo - it's such a pleasure to see someone working themselves through a problem with the help of the guys on this Forum - and solving it
But, that's what the forum it's all about, isnt...
Rob-
I think that you have to specify the no of decimal digits to be output ie
DEC 3 Databyte(0) will print databyte(0) with 3 decimal digits and leading zeroes

Hi Brian-
That's a very clear explanation.
Many thanks for it

Hello Jetpr
Look at Microchip Appnote AN893. Back EMF RPM monitoring is explained in H Bridge DC motor application. Also AN905 which explains Brushed DC motor control fundamentals

Hi Andre-
This is a PBP Forum, right? Then you should be looking to use a PBP enhanced IDE, and IMHO there is no question that Microcode MCS is the answer. For PBP, it is simple, quick, elegant....
Hi Ioannis-
My ISP allows me to register a static sub-domain address, which gets around the problem of a dynamic IP address
Quote from my ISP (www.Axxess.co.za):

Hey Bruce-
Wow! Thanks for solving the problem. Reliable as ever!
Just wish that it was easier to find documented answers to problems such as this.

Hi Dave-
Yes, I did comment it out in the include file when I specified the config fuses in the source file. It's just that I can get it to work with no config statements in the source file, and ...
Hi Guys-
Melanie, I'm afraid that I will always be a fatwa not a thinwa...., and kevlar not needed..
I have been able to get PBP to compile with MPASM, thanks to your advice.
I was caught,...
Well, I learn every day. Thanks Mr_E
You know, I'm a kind of mid-level programmer, I suppose. By that I mean that I know 16F stuff and PBP pretty well but have had a kind of a rocky ride moving up...
I got the whole thing to compile guys, thanks
Use:
PBP 2.46
MPLAB 7.30
Win98SE to compile
A few observations-
1) MPASM told me when compiling that I had dual specifications for the config...
Hi Trent-
Yup, that test is pretty accurate for me. I have a strong Read/Write learning preference
Guess that comes from studying Microchip datasheets long into the night ;-)

Thanks Guys for all the responses and Melanies detailed explanation
Well, by learning that 18F requires the MPASM assembler only, you totally solved my problem
Viva la Picbasic Forum!
Angus
Thanks CCKid, and Steve for your replies.
I do understand the way that 18F configs work (studied the datasheet for hours!), but my problem is to try and get the syntax for the PM assembler config...

Hi Guys,
I have just completed a project which is an emergency alarm for old people. It sends a 5 digit link code via the Telco network to a control room using DTMF signalling. The receiving (base)...
Dave, you were right about the 16 bit address
I've managed to solve the problem by:
1) Making the address a word sized variable
2) Changing the pullup resistors from 4k7 to 2k7
3) Taking the...
