Re: 12F683, DT_INTs, and Lost pulses

I have been working on the bigger chips for this project to get some other features. I'm going back to the 12F683 to use what I learned. If I get an answer, I'll let you know.

    Is it the INT on...

Re: CCP and timers to capture frequency

    Richard,

I had to change CCP1CON = %00000101 to CCP1CON = %10000101 to turn on the CCP, but it looks like it works a lot better than what I was trying.
I'll play with it a bit and see.

Re: CCP and timers to capture frequency

I'm trying to base this on Tip #1 from http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/41214a.pdf, but evidently I'm not turning the suggested steps into code very well.

CCP and timers to capture frequency

Related to , but different aspect, of "PPS understanding on 16F15313"http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=24129. Figured a new thread naming the issue would be better.

    This system...

    Re: PPS understanding on 16F15313

For reference, I found a missed line when I copied this to here:

    '---[CCP1 - interrupt handler]------------------------------------------
Capture: ' Enter here with PulseIN (CCP1)
    if...

    Re: PPS understanding on 16F15313

The IOC may not work. I had those in DT_INTS when I was trying to use that instead of CCP. I will have to go back and address that.

Here's what I finally worked out:

With your suggestions I was able to get it working. I will post the basics in case someone else needs to get through this. Having a better understanding of PPS will help a lot moving forward and...

    Re: PPS understanding on 16F15313

I have been to http://http://dt.picbasic.co.uk/ a number of times to refresh myself, but I admit, I haven't mined it thoroughly. I went back and found a couple of nuggets. One was in "DT's other...

    Re: PPS understanding on 16F15313

Other than adding the define, is there anything else that needs to be addressed in DT_INTs to make it work?

    Richard,
Thanks, I'll work on it again tonight and update as I sort it out.

btw, thanks for taking up the torch around here. It probably seems tiring helping all the time, but it is appreciated....

    Re: PPS understanding on 16F15313

    Thanks Richard for your reply.

I'll post the note when I can, but it addresses PPS. It mentions CCP1 through CCP7, TX/RX 1 and 2, and HPWM.

Poking around in it tonight I'm starting to believe...

    PPS understanding on 16F15313

    Hi All,

I've been struggling to understand Peripheral Pin Select (PPS). Tried once on a 16F18624 and gave up. Trying to understand it again, as it seems like all the current chips are going that...

    12F683, DT_INTs, and Lost pulses

Been fighting with unpredictable behavior on a project and need some fresh eyes.
Here is the minimal subset of the program that I'm fighting.
Without any pulses on the input, I get a...

    Re: LCD serial terminal

After thinking about it, that was just silly. I'll just throw it together and see it for myself. I already know I have uses for it.
  20. Re: Customizing the DT_INTS-XX.bas Instant Interrupt

    Yeah, me too.
Made the jump to the different processor and ordered boards for an ongoing project thinking it would be no problem. They were already a bit late, and I didn't have boards left for...

    Art (Brek?),
This thread caught my attention enough to look at your YT page. Lots of impressive stuff there! I definitely have to spend more time looking at your ideas. Thanks for putting it out...
  22. Re: Customizing the DT_INTS-XX.bas Instant Interrupt

Well, looking at the DT_INTS-16 that Dave was so nice to share, I couldn't see the issue, so I just added a line to clear the flag and it seems to be reacting much better. If I get the time, I may...
  23. Re: Customizing the DT_INTS-XX.bas Instant Interrupt

    Dave,
It was my belief that the "yes" in
INT_Handler IOC_INT, _Capture, PBP, yes did that.
I haven't dissected DT_INTS enough to verify that, and it may be an artifact of not originally...
  24. Re: Customizing the DT_INTS-XX.bas Instant Interrupt

    Dave,
Thank you for the help. I have been trying to look through the registers, but obviously missing something.

Here is the stripped down core of the program. I was under the impression that...
  25. Re: Customizing the DT_INTS-XX.bas Instant Interrupt

    Dave,
Thanks for sharing that. It behaves differently than the one i did, so I'll have to compare and learn what I missed. Still hasn't corrected my INT on Change (IOC_INT) issue, so I still have...
