    Re: Programmer help

The main thing I like about the U2 is the software. The configuration check list makes it easy for each device, no need to type out the configs in code.

@peterdeco1 great idea, but how do you add...

With the help doc. I got the ILI9341 tft wired and running in about 15 minutes. I'm sold on Annex, much better than the arduino ide route.

Thank you Richard for the reference link,

Hi Dwight, I can't seem to locate any references to the Basic Interpreter syntax, functions or libraries. Is there a crude manual? I see that learning html will be needed. It has been painless so...

    Re: HTML and PIC communication

That's great. Maybe you could use a USB to RS232 bridge IC or module like the FT232 to go USB?

B4X has a nice program "Basic for Java" or B4J to do desktop apps and it is free. I use the android version, very much like Visual Studio, object oriented.

Great video, your retro projects are cool. By the way you can saw those narrow dip sockets in half to fit any width IC.

    Re: PWM and audio noise

Like someone suggested above. You should try to increase the frequency of your PWM. A 1khz square wave will have strong harmonics at 3khz, 5khz and 7khz. Thats right in the middle of the audio...

    Re: MCP3201 problems

It would be a lot easier to use another pic with 3 extra I/O pins. Then your 6 push buttons would be reliable. But if you are minimalist and want a challenge go for it.

    Re: FREQOUT 4mhz

It also helps to place a 1K resistor in parallel with the transducer when driving with a logic signal. Like the others said use HPWM. Sound and Freqout are blocking commands.
