  1. Re: with the pic16f628a off, a voltage on an1 comes out from main voltage pin, why?

ok, since you have two power sources, your options are:

    1. The circuits above with transistors etc contrlled by the PIC itself.

    2. None of the above, just count a year or two and ask the user...

Re: Pickit3 -- hate the friggin thing

I had enough with the IPE/MPLABX crap...

Found an alternative to good ol' Stand alone Pickit2/Pickit3 software that was abandoned.

A programmer developed in a basic variant the new/old Stand...
  3. Re: with the pic16f628a off, a voltage on an1 comes out from main voltage pin, why?

Does the same battery power the PIC also? Or you have another bat?

  4. Re: with the pic16f628a off, a voltage on an1 comes out from main voltage pin, why?

I think MOSFETS have higher leakage current than say a BC85x series transistor.

I did something similar using SMD version of the known BC557/BC547, the BC8xx series with very good results. More or...
  5. Re: with the pic16f628a off, a voltage on an1 comes out from main voltage pin, why?

I still cannot understand why your battery is still connected to an1 input while your PIC is not powered.

  6. Re: with the pic16f628a off, a voltage on an1 comes out from main voltage pin, why?

And your circuit happens to have no power when battery is still connected to an input?

  7. Re: with the pic16f628a off, a voltage on an1 comes out from main voltage pin, why?

I would not put any voltage on the PIC inputs with no power on the the chip itself. Strange things can happen with the most obvious to run the program unintentionally.

    There is danger to destroy...
  8. Re: AD8302 Phase and magnitude to complex impedance

Thanks for the info. Very interesting.

Staying tuned to see how it evolves.

  9. Re: AD8302 Phase and magnitude to complex impedance

OK, and you say these are maths a PIC can do, at least easy?

  10. Re: AD8302 Phase and magnitude to complex impedance

To make thing more complicated, the antenna under test, should be far away from almost anything. Ground, cables, metals of any kind and sure yourself.

So, how will you be able to, relatively easy,...

    Re: 7-Seg display not counting

I do not understand why you do calculate twice the minutes and seconds and then form the calculated values you do again

    B0 = D1 / 10 ' Find number of tens
    D1 = D1 // 10 ' Remove tens from W1
    ...
  12. Re: DC Motor constant speed controller, is Picbasic fast enough?

I suppose you will use a PID control, right?

This has been already implemented thanks to incPID include file by Henrik Olsson:

Re: PIC to PIC (3 digit LED display)

Measure between the two +5 volts of the PIC power and see what voltage difference you have there.

From +5 of the one PIC to the +5 of the other. No ground.

    Re: 7-Seg display not counting

    I would keep it simple.

Two digits for all. If values is <9 then add a leading 0 to keep it two digits.

    So no moving dot point.

  15. Re: Need to drive 40 pins on variable change, is there a way to do it in elegant way?

OK, which part you missed? Come on now... Your presentation is great.

Is it commission based? Very strange indeed!

    Re: Programmer help

The stand alone for Pickit2 and Pickit3 where discontinued by Microchip (do not understand why as the MPLAB, MPLABX and IPE are too complicated).

But at this page you can find the new stand alone...

    Re: Si4702 FM Radio chip

Hi Brek. I saw you did post in Code examples under Si4703 instead of 02. I suppose it does not make any difference.

Can we delete this thread now?

OK, we should not forget it is just a chip after all!

Hope it is not me requesting update now and then.

I am showing this to a friend.

  23. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

Next to battery button there is this text box. The number is different in the 3 pages. Does this 5 digit number represent the battery level?

  24. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

OK, it works now just fine. All 3 pages.

Very interesting what that little board can do!

  25. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

Funny... It worked once just fine and on a refresh just a blank page. Either Firefox or Opera same result.

P.S. Once I used dyndns service then went to no-ip. About the same, but no-ip...
