  1. Re: HSEROUT of array of data with termination on a null

on second thought, using longs, again requires an 18F device, you could just do one big loop......(up to 4,000,000 at a time) index is the long 32bit.
then using index, get byte, send it, get next...
  2. Re: HSEROUT of array of data with termination on a null

you could...... forget hserout, then you can make your data buffer bigger, use longs if your pic can do it.... 18f's, then write data to ram or program mem location that can store more than 256...

    Re: 12F683 _CONFIG problem

I had to once, find the '683' INC or MAC file referred to by the assembler, look at the way the configs are expected in those files. I had to change my code to match the referenced/expected...

    Re: 12F683 Light Dimmer Problem

what are you using to vary the phase angle 0 to 8.3 ms after zero cross.... pot?

are you also starting a timer at zero cross which triggers timer turnover interrupt that determines the delay 0 to...

    Re: Single button function

I did a setup to check for...... short press, then 2 second or 5 second then long press to enter program mode, for next for the timing, then go on to next check and goto's

Re: Current limit for HV Power Supply

how about, the current limit is tripped when I=.4 amps...… instantaneous that is and that limit ckt would work for linear to hold to .4, but with pwm, the current levels can goes over that. Short...

Re: Serial to WiFi Wifi to virtual com port

I have set up the ESP05 and 12 serial to wifi modules (ridiculously cheap...$5, $7). Then had to program them to be "transparent bridge" so when powered up, they just act like a serial connection for...

    Re: Chattering relay

I see your software worked but you might need more capacitor filtering of the A/D voltage input, especially when operating relay

Re: Safely getting out of an interrupt

so, on rcv-int.... save the character to mem or ram to work on in basic later, and raise some flag to be checked in basic that char is in system and leave int.... only takes few micro-seconds to...
  17. Re: High Voltage, MCU controled 300Volt power supply

I would..... use triac or power mosfet, phase control or pwm. PiC can do all control, Vfb voltage feed back. current feed back and isolated opto drivers.... smooth the output as desired etc. sorry...

Much more 'logical' to add a module, and a wifi module at that. These modules today have 32 bit processors and big memory for the tasks for network and wifi. Plus some are only few $ and a fraction...

  22. Re: Can we make a digital pot simulate a much larger value?

    8363

R is max value of pot (mosfet is off), have to test range of voltage to mosfet gate to get your pot value operation, then use the digital pot to work within that range. If need isolation,...

    Re: Timer SubRoutine

I had similar circuit for a battery charger setup. I used 2 main loops, 1 for off and 1 for on. you can use for-next or while loops. set the counts based on how often you want to check the a/d values...

    Re: RMS vs Average voltage

because of the phase shift between voltage and current- for inductive and capacitive loads, but for pure resistive loads, the current and voltage are in sync

    Re: RMS vs Average voltage

yes but, since heater elements are almost 100% resistive, (no phase shifting between current and voltage) the output can be set with simple percentage type table values and no need to try to find rms...
