    Re: Single button function

    I did it in the different way:

    setuploop:
    if but2=0 then
    dlycnt=dlycnt+1 'increase debounce variable while button is pressed
    ticker=ticker+1
    pause 1
    endif
    if ticker>1500 and BUT2=0 then...

    Re: Slb 0587

    Due to my lack of knowledge, when facing same problem, I did the following - while user keeps button pressed, value of needed variable is being increased and value of waiting variable reset. As user...
  3. Re: Decoding variable into 4 digits of BCD, are there simple ways to this?

    Yes I see, is there a number to directly use decimal variable, or I need to convert it to hex?

    And by the way, since I will have 16 total of such modules, to save number of MCU pins used, I come...
  4. Re: Decoding variable into 4 digits of BCD, are there simple ways to this?

    Excellent, thank you! will give it a try :)

    So as I understand, this should display "2" in 1st digit from left?

    PORTC=%10000010

    or

    PORTC=52
  5. Re: Decoding variable into 4 digits of BCD, are there simple ways to this?

    Here is simple counter code I've made. It just counts from 0 to 99. But it is far from perfection.

    marcato:
    tato=0
    FOR KAKO=0 TO 99
    XAXO=KAKO DIG 0
    high latch 'enable write ones
    low...
  6. Re: Decoding variable into 4 digits of BCD, are there simple ways to this?

    Schematic of what?
  7. Re: Decoding variable into 4 digits of BCD, are there simple ways to this?

    If you mean hooking up A to PORTC.0, B to PORTC.1, C to PORTC.2 and D to PORTC.3, to be able to directly address them, then yes, I can do that.
  8. Re: Decoding variable into 4 digits of BCD, are there simple ways to this?

    Well, there is no hardware yet :) I plan to use PIC16F887. The modules itself have A-B-C-D inputs of CD4543BE connected in paralel, and latch pins are also available on connector.
  9. Decoding variable into 4 digits of BCD, are there simple ways to this?

    Hello. I have giant 7 segment 4 digit display, which is driven by 4 CD4543BE (Inputs tied together, latches driven separately).

    Say I connected it to MCU, with 1 digit display I can do something...

    Re: BCD to 7-segment issues

    Thanks! So it is logical operation with pre-defined masks.

    Re: BCD to 7-segment issues

    It would be great, if someone with better PBP knowledge can explain, what that code actually does (how)

    Re: Ability to pay per MCU License.

    LOL, why this thread turned into another wishlist? :D I've asked what is perfectly doable and needs only one executable to be updated....

    Re: Nextion LCDs... How to comunicate ???

    Yes, I got it working, but in a weird way.

    Say I have some background picture, which I place on background layer.
    Then I have textbox above it. Located at specified place.
    I have to crop...

    Re: Nextion LCDs... How to comunicate ???

    Can't figure out, how to make textbox background transparent - when I set it to "image" it gives error during compile...
  16. Re: Need to drive 4 rgb leds, but have only 1 pin available...

    This is customizable backlight, so user will be setting the color. Idea with shift register is nice, but if I have to add an extra IC, I can add say 12F683 and use it directly to drive RGB leds....
  17. Re: Need to drive 4 rgb leds, but have only 1 pin available...

    Sorry I should write 887A.

    Yes I have read that, but I don't have 20Mhz capability, so this is why I'm asking.
  18. Need to drive 4 rgb leds, but have only 1 pin available...

    Hello.

    The situation is as follows:

    PIC16F877A, running @ 8mhz intosc.

    Have 1 free pin available (can alocate any, including one with PWM output).

    Need to drive 4 rgb leds. All 4 should...

    Re: 10-Bit PWM using PIC16F1509

    POV might make it invisible to eye, but cameras see all that flickering very well, and giving very poor recording. So unfortunately, that is not the way to go...

    Well that's sad, because microtransactions are current market trend and they're doing exceptionally well.

    Re: 10-Bit PWM using PIC16F1509

    And that appears to be a hard task - most MCUs as I've checked from datasheet, have "synchronised" PWM outputs, which mostly mirror each other, and also they all run same frequency....

    Having same idea, to control RGB led using PWM, but how you did it with 1 hardware channel PWM?

    Ability to pay per MCU License.

    Hello.

    There is a free student edition of PBP, and then more costy, silver version, with better MCU support.

    What if you add ability to buy additional MCU support for less price?

    I mean,...

    Re: Nextion LCDs... How to comunicate ???

    I also ordered a module, waiting for delivery. Meanwhile, I've downloaded their IDE. Looks like Visual Studio, but so far, I have not managed, how to put my own text on label :D Very alogical...
