Re: Multiplying with 11 using PIC

CD4066 is a CMOS Quad Bilateral Switch and not PLL. I cannot follow your thinking.

Are still wanting a 11MHz operation or are OK with 2MHz?

There are many posts, maybe by the same spammer. He gets what is deserved though.

Re: Multiplying with 11 using PIC

In any case, 4046 will not operate at 11MHz.

A DDS is much better idea.

Re: Multiplying with 11 using PIC

Still at 12volts, I am pretty sure the CD4046 will not go over 2MHz (the data sheet has all the info).

I insist on using a faster chip.

Also best is switching resistor with the ground lead...
  5. Re: Problem regarding mje13007 transistor control circuit

How much high is the high on base of transistor? Remember you said 24V on Collector, so are you sure that base has at least 23 volts through a resistor?

    Re: Audio player

    Hi Jerson.

Thanks for the info. The Aplus and especially the aPR33A3 might be exactly what I need.

Do they have distributer? Mouser or Arrow do not carry them.

Also the idea of ESP32 that...

    Re: Audio player

You mean ESP with in Arduino IDE, which needs good grasp of C, right?

I do not feel very confident on that IDE for a client project.
    Thanks though,

    Re: Audio player

    Thank you Mike.

I know that Microchip has an encrypted, or so, unique serial number in some PICs but could not find that info in the parametric search. I can't recall how it is called.

    Audio player

I have a request for an audio player. The 12 audio files will be stored in a SD card (either mp3 or wav).

Each file will be 30 sec long and after user selection, it will be played in a loop.

Re: Multiplying with 11 using PIC

The capacitor switching is difficult as it is directly connected to the pins of 4046. The resistor R1 in the datasheet, is connected to gnd. So, maybe two or three mosfets like a 2N7000 can select...

A great piece of programming example that shows what a tiny PIC can do!

    Thanks Richard for the lessons!

Re: Multiplying with 11 using PIC

The VCO of the PLL has a limited range that can work with specific R and C values. That is why you may need 3 discrete PLL's and have the PIC to decide which one will work at any time.

Re: I2CRead & I2CWrite not working as expected

It could be that a static discharge killed the pull down circuitry, so the floating pins may not be a $A0 anymore.

I had in the past various issues with static and decided to be almost paranoid...
