  1. Re: Converting PULSIN reading to RPM, from PC Fan?

Yeap! That's right! Nice picture with the two grands! Well I hope I don't look that old though...

  2. Re: Converting PULSIN reading to RPM, from PC Fan?

I was thinking in terms of frequency and the low frequency you stated pushed me into that error. Sorry...

    Thanks for the clarification.

  3. Re: Converting PULSIN reading to RPM, from PC Fan?

Maybe you mean x2 instead of divide by 2.

  4. Re: Converting PULSIN reading to RPM, from PC Fan?

In your case you need an input.

Can you multiplex with another CCP input?

There is this Tip n Tricks pdf that has #5 about RPM measurment using CCP in combination with #1 and #2 tips.

Hi. Is this an automotive application? Why do you need to relay the CAN bus data?

    Thanks,

    Re: BME280 sensor.

There is always the possibility that humidity sensor may not had time to sense the environment. Or the other reference sensor is in a bit different position and gives wrong measures.

Re: Multi-digit word variable to string

Or use DEC modifier like DEC k. If k=5, DEC k will send out the "5".

With DEC you can also specify how many digits you will send. E.g. DEC3 will send 3 digit of the variable with the appropriate...
  13. Re: 2 didit up down counter using 16F628A program errors

    Ray,

you said that the hex file worked! Then you ask for a hex that works. You already have that hex file.

First you need to find why all three programmers will not connect to your chip.

    1....

Re: Weird problem with large(ish) array access

Can you test the program on different kind of PIC?

Also, without bootloader, it works OK without the magic PAUSE 5 line?

It does seem a RAM problem related to LONGs but Charles may help more....

I can only guess that it is not a clear 0-5 volt state.

And that is why he simulates the trigger pulse with the two resistors. All the way wrong approach...

  18. Re: Advices required for Soap dispenser / sanitizer code

I think you have it a bit mixed up!

First, a voltage divider like that will not trigger IOC reliable or at all.

Second, in case of an interrupt what should the program do? You do not have an...
  19. Re: Nokia lcd include , small footprint to suit pic16's

I know 3310 LCD is the cheapest graphic LCD one can buy, but the effort to display something is too much relative to the result (B/W bitmap).

Next best solution is the Nextion 2.4" at about 15...
  20. Re: Nokia lcd include , small footprint to suit pic16's

Maybe the MAX operator can do what you want.

Your check loop can be something like this:

    max_value = old_speed MAX speed

    old_speed = max_value

But this will lead eventually to a top value...
  21. Re: Nokia lcd include , small footprint to suit pic16's

    Can you define infinity please?

Your variables can be: bit (0-1), bytes (0-255), word (0-65535) and long (-2147483648 to 2147483647)

Use of such finger sensors need to have your finger cleaned from oil with alcohol (isoprop. alcohol or similar).

It is necessary for the sensors to keep working with consistency.

    Re: 12F683 _CONFIG problem

I think you refer to an ancient version of PBP.

Now we do not use this @ DEVICE MCLR_ON.....

    Current versions use this syntax:

    #config
    __config _INTRC_OSC_NOCLKOUT & _WDT_ON & _BOD_OFF...
