Hi Ion,
Put several turns thru the PRIMARY of the Current Transformer
Full-wave-bridge rectify the secondary (don’t forget the “burden” resistor), put a capacitor on DC from FWB (=peak) use this...
Hi Ion,
You are right to be concerned with the several watts per diode dissipation with diodes passing Amperage..
But I am proposing using them in the 5V output circuit of the ACS712.
They would...
Hi igeorge,
If you just need an un-calibrated “Go - No Go” measurement, a simple “peak detector” could work.
If a silicon diode has too much junction drop, maybe a germanium or Schottky diode...
Hi Matt, Welcome to the PBP forum.

Hi Dennis,
Great work so far. Let us know how things are going.
Especially how the ICSP works out, on the non-isolated circuit board.
This has turned into an interesting thread. A mix of past...
Hi polymer52,
I was confused by the same thing. Think this is how it goes:

Hey Dave,
It might have been, “Tales from the Crypt”, is I was a little bit more careless.
Half of MY circuit traces could have been blown off, if I had touched the circuit board anywhere.

This company may sell world wide.
I have bought from them, they have a medium rating on the “Adam’s scale”.

Hi Daniel,
The well used slang for 2 wires in parallel like that is “zip cord” and probably “hook up wire” would rule out other types of wire.
It must be difficult to search for things in a second...

Hi Dennis,
Transformerless Power Supplies are extremely dangerous and discussed in many threads.

It is handy to just plug in the demo board and run your development project in the early experimental troubleshooting stages, without bothering with a power supply. Then when you need to add the...
Hi Ken,
Dave was saying you could use 4 rechargeable (1.2V) cells as is (no Voltage regulator) or regular cells (1.5V) with a LM317 Voltage regulator. You could even use the 7.2v battery pack to...
