    Re: Conway's Game Of Life

    Just amazing!

Although I never fully understood that "game" your work looks impressive, especially on this P10 display in wide format.

Nice job that video on YouTube also!

    Re: Mplab icd 2

Your ICD2 should have a jack with 6 pins. So you need a cable with telephone-like connectors of 6 pins.

The on your board a female jack of 6 pins (also 8 of the ethernet type should work) and the...

Re: RF Communication over ESP, BLE or other

ESPs are not communicating on TCP protocol.

Using ESP-NOW the communication, as Francesco says, is rapid.

Have not tried it yet. I have no experience on the ESP modules and need some reading...

6m? that is not distance... that is besides!

Are you sure that your modules are OK? Seems too short. Even BT does it better.

From the Annex forum, Francesco (the developer of the Annex WiFi I...

The project is about controlling small car for children. They are owned by renting shops.

These are electric remote controlled cars with one or two 12v/7a batteries, 2-5 motors like the ones in...

RF Communication over ESP, BLE or other

I need to make radio remote control with this needed specs:

    1. The remote controller should be light, small and low battery consumption
    2. The range is not much important. Anything between 50-150...

    Re: Battery power back-uped circuit

    Roger,

The important specs is dependent on the application.

For example, if you drive the MosFet from a logic level chip, say a MCU, then you want the Vgs to be as low as possible for the...

    Re: Battery power back-uped circuit

Because according to Electrical Specs, the FVR may be from -8% to +6% for example on 16F1827.

I would not trust this to charge a LiPo battery at all!

    Re: Battery power back-uped circuit

Roger, the minus Vgth is correct. Consider it a different visual angle!

In P-channel or PNP transistor the voltages are the opposite of the N-channel or NPN transistors. Means that the voltage og...

Re: Asm sleep - pbp sleep

Glad you did it! Similar cases we faced I guess too.

But that makes me wonder, if we try so hard to solve such things on a PIC, what would happen on a more complex MCU? Would then take years to...

Re: Asm sleep - pbp sleep

OK, here is the explanation about the NOP:

When the SLEEP instruction is being executed, the next
instruction (PC + 1) is prefetched. For the device to
wake-up through an interrupt event, the...

  23. Re: Problems programming a 10F206 PIC using the Melabs U2 USB Programmer

One problem seems to be the calibration that might be lost. On my programmer (Elnec Pikprog+) there is a checkbox to preserve the calibration before erasing the chip. Please check that on yours.

Re: Asm sleep - pbp sleep

I rephrase: at least one NOP.

You may have as many as you want of course. Will not argue that. Still, I do not know which case(s) will not need the NOP, so put it there in any case!

Re: Asm sleep - pbp sleep

One NOP is enough and should be a good practice to have one in any case. After all a NOP delay is too small to create any short of problem.
