Re: GOTO vs RETURN after a GOSUB

Yes, I'm asking myself the same question :D. Yes, your code looks better than mine. The program is probably overflowing the stack and halting like Dave said. Will the program restart from the...

GOTO vs RETURN after a GOSUB

Hi, I have the following code,

    MainLoop:

    'DO SOME STUFF HERE.....

    FOR J = 0 TO 7
    GOSUB SearchForClockSignal
  4. Re: One-Wire Communication Assembly Help

Thanks. Assembly is not something that I'm very familiar with. I'll go over this code. It seem to do what I need.

  5. WS2811 and WS2812 One-Wire Communication Assembly Help

    Hi all,

I'm working on a project with the WS2812B LED lights. The PIC needs to send 24 bits for every LED that is connected in series. The 1st byte being for the green, the 2nd byte being for the...

    Re: VB.NET Program

    Hi,

Does anybody have a new version of this code for PBP3 and VB.NET 13, 15, or 17? I tried the VB NET code in the first post and it gave me all kind of errors. Does anybody knows where I can get...

    Re: Unable to program 18F67J94

The melabs website shows that PBP3 supports that chip. I have never seen a defective PIC in all the years I've programming them. More than likely that you are not setting the registers correctly....

Re: Port Digital Output Not Changing Properly

Also, is it possible to use LATCH instead or PORTx.x in PBP? How would you use the LATCH register?

Port Digital Output Not Changing Properly

    Hi,

I'm using a 18F4550 PIC code that's running on PBP2.50. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out why this code won't work.

    DUMMYVAR VAR BYTE

    TRISB = %00000000 ...

    Re: PBP3 and DT Interrupts

Actually, I found the problem. The files DT_INTS-18.bas and ReEnterPBP-18.bas need to be included in the same folder with the pbp program. That resolved all the issues.

    So far I'm pretty happy...

    PBP3 and DT Interrupts

    Hi,

I just bought my license for PBP3 after many years using PBP2.60 . I have a program that works perfectly fine with PBP2.60, but apparently PBP3 doesn't like DT interrupts. I got a...

  15. Re: Making Code Smaller for a Multiplexed LCD Display

Art, in this example there is a multiplexed 7-segment LCD, 4 commons, display that I am running directly from the PIC. The advantage of the 4 commons is that you only need one pin in the PIC for...
  16. Re: Making Code Smaller for a Multiplexed LCD Display

Actually, I'm using the 16F1939. I'm going to check for the 18F that you mentioned.
  17. Re: Making Code Smaller for a Multiplexed LCD Display

Yeap, you are right. I was hoping that somebody knew of a clever way of doing this.
  18. Re: Making Code Smaller for a Multiplexed LCD Display

    Dave,

This LCD is actually a 7-segments, 4 commons, multiplexed display. That code is more for an LED display type.

    Jerson,

Thanks for your comment. So, you know that this displays are a...

  20. Making Code Smaller for a Multiplexed LCD Display

    Hi,

I have some code for a multiplexed LCD display that's taking a lot of memory space. The LCDDATA registers need to be updated frequently, so the display can work. There's got to be a clever way...

    Re: SPI Using PIC18F4550 Question

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. I know that SDI (Master) goes connected to SDO (Slave) and SDO (Master) goes to SDI (Slave). But, a quick search in Google for SPI wiring will bring you some circuits...

    SPI Using PIC18F4550 Question

    Hi all,

I'm trying to use the SHIFTOUT and SHIFTIN commands on a 18F4550 to control and NFC module. The port labels on the 18F4550 refer as SCK, SDI, and SDO. However, the SPI ports on the NFC...

Re: AD conversion problem for pic16F684

It is always a good idea to check that the PIC settings are correct by implementing a blinking LED before you do anything else. Also, in your code I don't see any WHILE....WEND loop to check if the...
