Hi,
Back after a few years off, using a new laptop & os, having lots of issues using a previously working program & PIC.
(too many) Compiler (PBP v2.50C) errors found : Cannot open file...
thanks for the reference. I will check this out.
I would like a reference as to where to obtain a small pre-populated functional PIC board.
A stand alone fully functional board that I can program in circuit.
Pic does not need to be SMD.
...
I would like any suggestions on sources for a weatherproof digital display for a project that I will be controlling using a PIC.
Application similar to outdoor temperature display module or a...
thanks, I'll try this.
I will look into using my 16F716 with (H)PWM to accomplish the frequency generation by outputting on P1A and jumpering to another I/O to see if PULSIN can read the frequency. Can this be done?
...
I want to test the PULSIN feature on the bench.
Can this be done with a basic RC integrator?
I can't get my DMM to read any frequency or logic state when connected, just the voltage/drop at...
My thought was to operate them at a max of 50%, about 7V/4.5A each, (9A total).
I prefer to connect them together in parallel, and drive or control as one device.
I was also considering a...
Charles,
Do you mean variable control? That would be ideal, but I may only need to voltage divide from 13V to 7.5V for the 50% efficiency.
I'm not aware of any needed isolation requirements.
The...
I'm looking at a pair in parallel of 40mm, 15Vmax, 9Amp variety.
I understand operating at 50% capacity improves efficiency.
I am going to start a project using Peltier modules [Thermoelectric cooling (TEC)], and was researching control options.
A search here didn't turn up anything. Anyone done a similar project...
I am wondering if anyone knows for a source of an LCD module that is already weatherproof for outside use, and preferably ready to control using my PIC Basic Pro SEROUT command I am accustomed to? ...
Thanks for the replys
Is there a way to determine what program is in one of my PIC's?
I can read it using the programmer, but of coarse no program name is there, only hex code. Is the name of the program in the hex...
Is there non-volatile memory on a 16F716 that would enable the chip to retain a variable if it is removed from power, after it has been programmed?
I use PIC's (16F716 & 16C711) in circuits with Vreg,op amps, etc., in an automotive application.
Are there concerns about using a switchable power source to power the circuit?
It would mean...
thanks for the leads
Seems my hot automotive environment may require a higher temp PIC than what I am using.
It is resetting alot so this is what I suspect.
My source DigiKey doesn't supply small quantities of them....
Are PULSIN and COUNT the only options for reading a pulsing vehicle speed sensor input?
It seems to me COUNT could be a better choice since it has a built in smoothing function by counting a...
Thanks Bruce.
Will a program function correctly if a RETURN command is encountered, but there was no GOSUB command preceding it? i.e., will it just skip over the RETURN command without a hitch? Or must you...
I am getting better results using PULSIN since the sensor is pulsing as stated before.
I still need to condition the results, however.
Charles,
This sensor pulses hi to low. I suspect some of my sampling is reading on the low part of the cycle. Thats why I slowed way down the sampling time to 20ms.
ADC has worked well for me...
Thanks,
I'll have a look see.
I'll see what a 0.1uF does.
Thanks
