    Re: SSD1315 oled display

Thanks Richard for explanation. You're right, I forgot to set ANSELC = 0, then I added it, and the display start work on port c.0 and c.1 in SW i2c mode but still not with HW i2c mode.
    After your...

    Re: SSD1315 oled display

I don't know what happened, but after struggling around I tried use a different port. Instead port c.0 and c.1 I switched to c.4 and c.5 then to port a.4 and a.5 and the display start to work.
    The...

    Re: SSD1315 oled display

    Thanks for reply Richard,
this is not clear for me, what you mean i2c address needs to be left shifted 1 bit. How to do this? Sorry for that beginner question, can you be more specific.
    Here is the...

    Re: SSD1315 oled display

I'm not familiar with arduino, in this case I grab the first include which I finded only for testing the displays.
This arduino include says, its for SSD1306. I think my displays are SSD1306 only...

    SSD1315 oled display

    Hello folks,

recently I bought a bunch of 128x64 and 128x32 I2c oled displays with SSD1306 driver, but after few try's I realized it came with different driver.
The actual driver is SSD1315. I...

    Re: ADXL345 accelerometer

    Hi Folks,
finally I made it. In my previous attempt I made a few newbie mistakes, like missing INCLUDE "modedefs.bas", and I shiftout the clock iddle low which is wrong, because datasheet says...

    ADXL345 accelerometer

    Hello all,

I'm trying to connect ADXL345 accelerometer to MCU in SPI 4wire mode, but no success. The reading is allways zero.
In I2c mode the accelerometer works just fine.
    I think in SPI mode...
  9. Re: It is Y2K19 but DS18B20PAR+ Returns either 127 or 85 depending on resistor value.

    Correct.

And what if connect the DS18B20 with 3 wires? Does the reading correct value?
  10. Re: It is Y2K19 but DS18B20PAR+ Returns either 127 or 85 depending on resistor value.

    Try 8MHz internal OSC.
  11. Re: It is Y2K19 but DS18B20PAR+ Returns either 127 or 85 depending on resistor value.

I tested your code on 16F688, and it works just fine with internal OSC set to 8MHz instead 4MHz.
With OSC set at 4MHz the result is steady 85.
    Try it at 8MHz.

    Re: 16F1829 PORTA.5 problem

    Thank you Richard, it works.
I spent a lot of time reading the datasheet how to configure ports, oscillators etc. but still nothing.
You helped me a lot. Great, as usual.

    16F1829 PORTA.5 problem

    Hello Folks,
I'm struggling a few days how to set port RA5 on PIC 16F1829 as general purpose I/O (output).
I try everything but no succes, I think the problem is around oscillator configuration,...

I try to create a simple milliseconds counter with DT Elapsed timer. The program works as follows: after initial countdown starts the timer, next if I press the "mic" button the "lap or...
  15. Re: Why does PICkit2 show it as an LF device?

    Hello,

I done programming lots of genuine 12F1840 pic's with 12LF1840 settings on pickit2 without any problems.
Lets try it, it works for me.

there are still something wrong, because missing "%" character in the codes published on wiki

    Orig. code:
    TRISA = %111000

Re: 4 bit 7 segment display with two 74HC595

Yes that's great, now the MCU has a way more time to do other tasks which I write using my poor skills in picbasic.
Probably this piece of your code will be used in my future projects with that...

A few things I've noticed when I tried the code:
    - your code is a way shorter in MCU...

Re: 4 bit 7 segment display with two 74HC595

Hello Richard, thanks for response. Your code is probably for 4 digit 7 segment display where the segments is driven via 74HC595 shift register, and the common anodes via transistors directly from...

4 bit 7 segment display with two 74HC595

    Hello All,
I start to play with one of this cheap 4 digit 7 segment display. The display is driven by two 74HC595 which one is for segments and the other is for common cathodes (digits).

Re: PIC12F683 pin GP3 as output

    Hello,
finally success. I grab one of my PICAXE 08M2, read it with pickit programmer (destroy the bootloader) and yes, it is a PIC12F1840 not a 12F683 which is a previous version of PICAXE 08M...

That's a good question, PICAXE webpage shows this:

But after better research, I think all my 08M2 devices are PIC12F1840 and thats makes more...

Re: PIC12F683 pin GP3 as output

yes, if I configure the MCLR bit in config word to "1" then the LED is ON because the transistor is open via internal pull-up. If I configute the MCLR bit to "0" then internal pull-up is disabled and...
