    in this config ,if microchip had considered it would have been nice to allow the master and slave not to have a data input pin Have to be assigned , allowing for them to be used as I/O

    The answer from the testing is
    1. Not Setting SS pin for ssp2 on the PPS does not appear to effect SSP2 running in this config
    2. assigning SS on the PPS to portd.0 for SSP2 does not appear to...

    if the PPS sets the unused SS pin on SS2 to portd.0 , can this pin be used for other I/O ?

    with this configuration i cant see how the SS pin on a slave can ensure that it is in sync to CLK from master , even if the master controls the SS pin as the master is not sending...

    Pedja idea of this is what i was wanting to for error condiions, but the number of options of error check is about 20 or so

    i not seen it crash , but the code did have several goto's to a few other subroutines

    most old subs in this code had a error checking of "status test" , to do would be called from many places...

    i have spi port on the flash chip for programming , so dont have to load multi hex files to pic after the end hex file is made for the flash, just copy it to the other flash chips...

    the IOC had the reset done in it prior, as i have had issues with that on the 27k40
    , but timer1, timer0,RX2 did not have any resets and were ok before they went to low priorty ISR

    yes had to place a reset interupt in each isr , when the isr is part of the low priorty,

    the reset was not required in each isr when part of high priorty

    thought the 18-int-k40 sorted it...

    the code compiles and works when only high priorty is setup

    yes i have also fallen in to the trap of using the pic chip that i know or limiting it selection to what PBP supports and also knowing it faster to do it in PBP than to start it in C where i am not...
