Did or does PBP3 have limited support for certain 24F devices? I remember a list of 24F devices that I thought was attached to the PBP3 device list? (not there now)

What is the practical length limit from a PIC to a LCD. If shielded cable were used would lengths of 15 to 20' be a problem. I have cables with individually shielded conductors plus an outer shield....

All issues are resolved. Site is available as usual. Didn't mean to make people upset. I was just concerned.

    Re: Melabs home forum down?

I had turn off web browser protection in the cable box to get there. The Comcast software flags out the site with a possible malware problem. That's all I know about this.

Re: After update serial programmer won't open

Yes I have attempted to change the configs from the list using the config commands in the program itself. Since the programming part fails this does nothing. I make try to use the PK3 with the...

Re: After update serial programmer won't open

I finally have the 16F19176 and the 18f47K42 invoking the programmer. I believe that issue was that I established my own file folder with all my programs in it and after the upgrade this path was...

Re: After update serial programmer won't open

Thank you for your reply. Yes, the fast program was in deselected. All I know at this time is that all of the older chips that I use are programming well. The issue is the 16F19176 which will not...

Good point. I found a few with 80,000hr. life expectancy (50% luminosity). OK for me, I'm going for it, cost around $30 US.

Has any one used the LCD write commands with a HD44780 "like" controller. Several OLED modules are advertised this way. How much "like" is my question? Did anyone find that the similarities were...

    Re: Mplabx 4.15

Thank you for the reply and I agree. I'll hold off on this. The reason is more of convenience. Some older project code is in assembly in the MPLAB IDE.

No serial port was in use during programming writing. I would usually code a page and run test compile, and if good, add more lines. Sometimes I didn't use the thumb drive or any other connections...

I have had the MCS shutdown several times (gray-out) with a error screen. I believe this may have something to do with the file saving path. If I manually save my work every so often I have not...

    Re: Is BASIC dead ?

    Re: Is BASIC dead ?

I don't know if BASIC is dead, it does seem to take a back seat to C++ with the newer microcontroller development systems. I am more concerned about getting the 18F97J94 series added to the PB3...

    Re: PBP 3.0 really needed?
