  1. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

Well, I flashed the firmware, all ok, loaded some code, (copy pasted relay example) hit "run", go to output page, but nothing is there?
  2. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

Ok, let me ask in the different way: Can I get this basic firmware (and program it from browser as advertised) as .bin file, which will be flashable via standard nodemcu flasher software?
  3. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

I can run other projects on it without any issues, all that use standard NodeMCU flasher. And for this particular flasher, there are no instructions in understandable way. What does "connect" button...
  4. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

Finally tried to flash it, but instructions on website are very strange, can't get it working at all. Included flasher has no idea what to do. Can someone just provide bin file so I can flash it with...
  5. Re: Getting data from user, how to store it properly? (kinda dialog interface)

Thanks, what I'm trying to build is a programmable movie camera crane, for some cinematic action.
  6. Getting data from user, how to store it properly? (kinda dialog interface)

    Hello.

I'm building a simple digital controller, which works like this: User enters number of points (steps) to move head to. At each step, user enters desired x/y/z positions and movement speeds....
  7. Re: DC Motor constant speed controller, is Picbasic fast enough?

Well I have used HPWM command to PID control heater on 16F886 and it works so far fine. Have not tried it with motor yet. Now assembling motor driver. My motor is fairly large - 18V 30A, so needs...
  8. Re: DC Motor constant speed controller, is Picbasic fast enough?

This chip will be dedicated solely to this task, except there will be two buttons, which generate interrupt and used to adjust speed say in 1000rpm increments, so I guess, 12F683 or similar, simpler...
  9. DC Motor constant speed controller, is Picbasic fast enough?

Hello, I want to build a DC motor controller, which will allow speed adjustment and also support for constant speed under changing load. I want to use HPWM to generate PWM signal, and adjust it's...
  10. Re: Need to drive 40 pins on variable change, is there a way to do it in elegant way?

I've asked about further details, no response yet :D
  11. Re: Need to drive 40 pins on variable change, is there a way to do it in elegant way?

Was referenced to "official rules" which says ""clarity, ingenuity, creativity, quality of presentation, and execution of the Instructable"
    " :D
  12. Re: Need to drive 40 pins on variable change, is there a way to do it in elegant way?

They won't disclose actual mechanism, based on which participants are selected, they say it is "internal thing".
  13. Re: Need to drive 40 pins on variable change, is there a way to do it in elegant way?

Very interesting, I've submitted that instructable into a contest, and so far, it was #2 by number of favorites and views, but it does not made even to TOP 20. I've posted a question, why this...

    Re: 1st time COMPARATOR use...

    haha found
I was searching for "pwm auto shutdown", but later in datasheet it is "pwm auto-shutdown" :D
    so ctrl+f was not helping

    Re: 1st time COMPARATOR use...

    Absolutely. Page 85, no more.
  16. Re: ANNEX ESP8266 basic announcement and invitation

I bought some ESP boards, will give them try tomorrow and let you know....

    Re: 1st time COMPARATOR use...

Thanks, I checked in detail, and "PWM shutdown" in datasheet is mentioned only once, no further explanation given :D

    Re: 1st time COMPARATOR use...

Thanks, so I understand, that using "standard" MCU, like 16F886, it won't be possible to do what I need in pure hardware way, right?

    Re: 1st time COMPARATOR use...

Just my code has to multiplex many things, and I want as fast response as possible. How fast is comparator is generally? I don't like 50us wasted on ADC sampling time....

    Re: Got it working!

Is it possible to configure comparator to do something, without sacrificing main code and cpu time? I mean, to run it in background, without using adcin or other code in loop. Say, only enable hpwm...
  21. Re: HPWM outputs only on two channels on PIC16F886, when it should do more.

Good, I'm considering making a nixie clock, with this, "semi-hardware" multiplexing, so PWM outputs will drive anodes, and on interrupt, cathodes will get the proper display....
  22. Re: HPWM outputs only on two channels on PIC16F886, when it should do more.

    Thanks, will check.

Another question, is it possible to generate interrupt on hpwm pulse fall? Say, D0 becomes low - interrupt is generated, D1 becomes low - again, and so on.
  23. Re: HPWM outputs only on two channels on PIC16F886, when it should do more.

Well I need a sequence like one used to control steppers, but with some delay between pulses on each line, so say D0 went low, but there's small delay, before D1 becomes high and so on:...
  24. Re: HPWM outputs only on two channels on PIC16F886, when it should do more.

Back to basics, is it possible, using mainly picbasic statements, to make chips with 4 channel pwm to output 4 pwm signals, with same frequency and duty ratio, but shifted with a dead band between...
  25. Re: HPWM outputs only on two channels on PIC16F886, when it should do more.

Saying shortly, my code works as it should :) HPWM is where it should be, LCD is crystal clear display :D
