    Component recomendations

    Hi Guys,

In the past you guys have helped me source components for various projects, and I need your help again.

I'm looking for a power MOSFET that is rated at 400 - 500v DC, and has a logic...
  2. Re: It is Y2K19 but DS18B20PAR+ Returns either 127 or 85 depending on resistor value.

85 or 127 normally indicates a failed read of the device - often due to hardware. Do you have 4k7 pull up resistor on the DQ line ? Are the 5v and Gnd rails connected?

Have you tried a different sensor. It could be that the current sensor is faulty as the code looks to be correct.
What's the cable length between the chip and the sensor. I have 18B20's in a...

    Re: OSCCON=$60 Help Please 16F628

You need to post up your configuration settings in your code

The Define OSC statement doesn't define the frequency. To use a line from a previous post
  7. Re: Motor Control Circuit (JPG Attached) for scrutiny and discussion...

I've always sourced current rather then sink it from a PIC, and in the case of a relay, the PIC drives an NPN transistor such as a 2N2222, which in turn switches the coil (with a 1N4001 - 1N4004)...
  8. Re: Pic 12F675... Pulling GPIO.3 Low resets program

Which method did you use. My suggestion of commenting it out and then including the config settings in the PBP code, or Charlie's suggestion of changing the INC file to read MCLR_OFF ?
  9. Re: Pic 12F675... Pulling GPIO.3 Low resets program

In this version of PBP set the config bits in your code using

    @ __CONFIG _INTRC_OSC_NOCLKOUT & _WDT_ON & _PWRTE_ON & _MCLRE_OFF & _BODEN_ON

Then browse to the 12F675.INC file in the PBP...

    Re: Pic 12F675... No Blinky

Try adding the following at the start of the code to set the config up

    @ __CONFIG _INTRC_OSC_NOCLKOUT & _WDT_ON & _PWRTE_ON & _MCLRE_OFF & _BODEN_ON

You may have to comment out the config...
  12. Re: HSERIN/HSEROUT strange behavior receiving data with DEC modifier

I thought that would be obvious as I stated Transmission and Receiving sections. Term_TX is the section with HSEROUT, Term_RX is with HSERIN. I didn't include the complete section as I send around...
  13. Re: HSERIN/HSEROUT strange behavior receiving data with DEC modifier

I don't know if this helps, but I've used the following code for years with a PC application to send a bulk stream of data back and forth between the serial port and a PIC. The variables are mainly...

    Re: Can't blink a led wih 16F1519

No Expert, but according to the data sheet port c pin 6 has these options

    RC6/AN18/TX/CK

Which I presume means an analogue pin, TX part of a serial port or a clock pin. You might have to set...
