Your Suggestions: Assembly code material?

Hi,
I am still playing in PBC.
And I would like to learn how to add assembly code into my PBC code.

Does anyone know of any good resource material, books, old magazine articles etc?

I have Easy PiCn and PiCn up the Pace.
And I can't seem to get the assembler to accept any of their code examples.
I really need some "lead me by the hand" material.
