cheap gsm modules

Hi All

I have search the list for GSM modules but there dont seems to be one which is widely recommended so i just need a bit of pushing in the right direction as to which one would be more suitable for my application.
I would be starting a project withing the next few months and would like to add sms facility to it.
so the when my pic sense that a particular value has being reach it just sends out a text msg nothing too complicated.
I would love to hear from anyone who has used or done this type of application foe advice and much more

Well, I don't know any cheap module
but I can recommend SIEMENS or TELIT.

I think NOKIA has a big product range and that can fulfill are your requirements , You can choose any old model and that will be fairly cheap I guess. And nokia is well known in GSM and for its quality and battery backup ....everything.
