2G, 3G and 4G - how do I determine what my module is capable of?
For my latest project, I'm using a SIM800L GSM module.
But what is telling me what networks (2G...4G) it is really capable of?
The module's datasheet isnt' clear enought to me so I have doubts about its capacity of 3G and even 4G. I can only see it is "GSM 2/2+" compliant, so what in final?
Can someone explain how I shall make the difference please?

The firmware manual of this module is here:

Re: 2G, 3G and 4G - how do I determine what my module is capable of?
It support GSM and GPRS. So no 3 or 4g.
2G, 3G and 4G - how do I determine what my module is capable of?
I've been checking SIMCOM's web site and found this page: https://simcom.ee/?featured
So, if I'm looking for a 2G or/and 3G or/and 4G module, which one shall I have a look at, in your opinion please?
Or maybe, to make my question more clear, what specification makes a module be 2G or 3G or 4G?
Is it: HSDPA = 3G, LTE = 4G or so?
