Jan Axelson, the author of Serial Port Complete has just informed me that she has a new 2nd edition of Serial Port Complete that will be released in early November.

I am totally looking forward to this one. Check out http://www.lvr.com/spc.htm for the details.

We're going to have this one in stock & shipping ASAP once it's released to distributors.

Perfect.

I like her writting.
Own the first edition and the USB complete one (reading).

You know how much it will be?

PS: By the way, thanks for the Assambler help with the PIC18F448 (USART). Your code did not work but I managed to make it work by doubleing the pointer constant (odd). Using PBP 2.50 works fine; right now I'm reading the generated assambler on MPLAB to see where I got it wrong.
If I can make the ICD run on the PBP with assambler I'll know what happens (reading your tutorial).

Jan Axelson, the author of Serial Port Complete has just informed me that she has a new 2nd edition of Serial Port Complete that will be released in early November.Jan writes in a very clear and accessible style. I think I have all of her previous books. Interestingly, she started out studying psychology and learned electronics in the job she had to support herself while going to school. I think that makes her one of the few people truly qualified to write about both Nuts and Volts.

....she started out studying psychology and learned electronics in the job she had to support herself while going to school.

As you say, that might be the reason why her writting of "high tech stuff" is understandable to the average person (she knows how we think!)
