I have noticed in the past about 6 months or so the proliferation of footers that are longer than the subject reply or question. Some of the footers I am talking about are ones like:

Success:Accidents by the non-quitters
Success:Walking away from a landing
Success:Trying when all else fails
Success:Learning from mistakes
Success:Glass is 1/2 full, not 1/2 emty
Success:Crossing road with 'possum
Success:Patting skunk without junk!
Success:Positive preception of life
Success:Compile something that runs
Success:Blinky light (however simple)
Confusion:When Blinky light is achieved, and everyone else is wondering why you are so excited about a stupid little light that blinks on and off...

I for 1 read alot of email daily and enjoy frequenting this forum 2 to 3 times a day. What I have a problem with is constantly reading the same footer after 1 or 2 lines if responce to someones question. It is as if your mother or father is saying pick up your room or don't forget to turn out the lights constantly. I do this with my kids. I for 1 and I beleive others would appreciate less of this type reading. Signing your responce or question with your name I am sure would be sufficient. These are just my thoughts......

Hello Dave,

Dave>> I for 1 and I beleive others would appreciate less of this type reading. Signing your responce or question with your name I am sure would be sufficient. These are just my thoughts......<<

I appreciate your thoughts and words. Each one of those are a big lesson in life. Also something to be laughed at. I could have put a lot more, but I didn't. I meant no harm. I don't want to be rude. I don't want to cause grief or hardships.

You are the first person to voice a negative on my "Tag", and the membership is quite large here. If Melanie or the authorities wants me to remove it, I will gladly do so. It just shows the personality I have, and gives a reflection to those who have a different sense of humor, without the Bad taste of indecent language or gestures.

If it's non-offensive, non-political, non-denominational, non-sectarian, under 10 calories and isn't trying to sell me Viagra - then personally I'll let it ride. Last time I got involved in something like this I pretty much got accused of being the Anti-Christ of free speech... (see God Messages, in the Off Topic section from August 2003).

12 lines is pushing the limit

as I tell my kids once is funny
maybe even twice
but every post it does get old

but its really not that big of a deal
I enjoyed it the first time
