Classic remake of the ever so popular MB Simon Says. I designed this project quite sometime ago. It was submitted to the Silicon Chip magazine many years ago and subsequently rejected for publication due to lack of personal interest on the publisher's end. Put simply he doesn't like games. A prototype of the game was built and performed flawlessly. Today I spent a bit of time revising a few minor technicalities with the schematic, it's dated with today's date but it was actually drawn some considerable time ago. Unfortunately I don't have the software to supply with the project, it was lost sometime ago.

In essence, in terms of game play, it's identical to the original which was produced by MB back in 1979. There are some notable differences in this up-to-date version of the game. This includes a scoreboard, music, a long with automatic high score saving. Screen shot below shows the entire electrical circuit. Pin numbers and all. IC2 - 4511 BCD to 7 segment decoder allows us to control the two multiplexed 7 segment displays with only a 4 wire connection as opposed to 7. Far left of the schematic you will notice 8 LEDs, configured as 4 pairs - 2 in series for each button. On the prototype these LEDs were actually built into the buttons themselves. So you may only need to have 4 LEDs if you plan on using LED less switches. If you do, you'll also need to upgrade the values of their associated current limiting resistors to suit.

Yeah I saw that post earlier today. In fact, it was what inspired me to post my schematic since that post didn't have one.
