hello everyone. I'm kind of new to this realm of picmicro programming and from the little i have read and understood, i should confess that it is really wonderful. I have a problem though : from the messages i read , i could manage to get the programmer done, as well as laying hands on some datasheets. The only difficulty i'm having is getting a complete version of the pic_basic language compiler software. I had a good start with the limited version i have but could advance no more with my work .
Can anybody help me get around this problem?
thanks

Try...

http://www.melabs.com/products/index.htm
http://www.crownhill.co.uk/level3.php?cat=40

You'll find the PICBASIC compiler listed on their websites and I'm sure they will ship worldwide.

Not knowing what you've got, what you want to do and what skill level you have, advice is very difficult for anyone to give.

Personally for me, a breadboard, a heap of components, a programmer and a little imagination is the way to go.

So all I'll say is just start on something, and when you stumble, learn from the mistakes and move on. Professional or amateur, it's the way we've all started.
