You never specified a budget... just said you needed a programmer for a particular device. I don't know what kind of adaptor you seek, but elnec pretty much manufacture every possible adaptor for almost any programming device in existance.

The problem with going 'cheap' is you end up wasting so much time that you might as well have bought something better to start with.

I'm sorry, I can't help you with cheap or home-build programmers or software to drive them.
