i am looking for LCD gets input data by touching a pen on its screen, i dont know a name of one, and i want a datasheet of one to use it with PIC

I don't know about light pens, but I do know about touch screens. You can even activate it using your fingertip, less chance of damage than from a solid object too.

Google for 'touch screen lcd', you should find many. One piece of advice, do not try to install the touch screen yourself. I'm told it should be installed in a clean-room; particles of dirt on the LCD could give false readings.

I had touch screens installed on LCDs purchased from Apollo Displays:

Click on DISPLAYS at top left, I chose mine in the PASSIVE GRAPHIC selection.

Click on TOUCH SOLUTIONS and then TOUCH SCREENS for some generic bla-bla.

I think I had paid $19 for the LCD and $10 for the touch screen, installation included. Now all I have left to do is to figure out how to make this sucker work. Nearly there...
