What is the difference?

I bought PBP and then the upgrade to 2.6 so long ago it is impossible to prove it - I don't keep records longer than 7 years. I am considering getting PB3 but would have to pay full price I suppose. Kind of a Rip in my opinion.
Anyway, the price differential is substantial, what's the difference?

The difference is the number of PICs the various versions supports, see here (http://pbp3.com/devicelist.html).
Where did you originally buy it from? Perhaps the have the transaction on file, if it was directly from MeLabs I'd be surprised of they couldn't dig it out for you.

Thanks Henrik

I was really interested in support for the PIC 16F1455 since PBP does not.

I THINK I bought the original from MeLabs - - and the update to 2.6 from ? ? . As said - too many years ago to remember or recover the original sale.
I still have the original Disks.

Well, in that case GOLD is what you need since that's the only version supporting the 16F1455.
Give Charles a call or send him an email, hopefully he'll be able to get you sorted without you having to pay full retail - which would suck.
