Hi .. Thank you for reading.

I have problems with this code... I have stolen it from elswhere to just read degrees on LCD.

As is it is, displaying Radians and Degrees.

By question is more of query... I am really not sure if my means of deriving the Degrees is correct.

Would welcome any help / advice. ALso as I spin the compass module it apears to count backwards?

we need the raw readx and ready values when the module is held level and :-

1 facing magnetic north
2 south
3 east
4 west
these readings should represent maxima and minima also. if not this setup is not going to work

if the min- max readings are not the full 4096 range then the existing 360 degree scaling will be way off' and will need to allowed for .

you may also need to "normalise" the readings in some way to compensate for varying field strengths (or adjust the gain).

the reading results may need to rotated by a fraction of pi to achieve proper orientation (ie to make 0 equate to north).

Are you using one of the break-out boards, GY0281 or GY282? George

Hi George

Yes a GY-271 I Think...

Hi Richard

I am seeing what you are suggesting.... My problem is I have no time to really play.

Plus I non to good at software.... Will check out what you are suggesting ASAP
