Hardware manufacturing in maker movement (http://support.nexpcb.com/hc/en-us/articles/202952978-Hardware-manufacturing-in-maker-movement)

We are talking about the manufacturing issues since these services are what we focus on.

Two articles give us many inspirations.

The industrial is changed:

The industrial was built on the old model. That's the reason why there are so many problems when you changed to the new requirement.
The many key words here when you talking about the hardware revolution or the maker movement.

1 Quick
The Rapid prototyping is do request a quick speed. The best way is use hardware prototyping as service. Get it ready meanwhile or the next day. Because time is so important in the process. Many ideas are only exist in short time, you need the hardware to demo to your investors and customs.

2 Flexible
Can use the production in small volume even 1 or 2 pieces are enough. Can changed the volume anytime when the other conditions are changed. Update the design very easily and verify it quick.

3 Quality
How to control the quality, especially for the volume production. It was nightmare for many popular projects. There are so many detailed experience staff there, how can a new team beat them?

I thought, but could be wrong, that we focus on PBP programming.

And yet he is saying "Local manufacturing makes sense" which I do agree with because I have suffered in the past with suppliers long delivery times due to a slow boat from China being the method of transport. That said the original post makes no sense to me.

How quick you can provide?
Which are the testing techniques, you are using?
