Wave soldering machines have been in hands, but there are some preparatory works have to do before operate the machine. Here taking wave soldering machine LF250 from Beijing Glichn for example to show preparation.
1. The ventilation on wave soldering machine is very important, firstly please check it work well;
2．Make sure time on/off on wave solder machine works well;
3．Temperature display on solder pot should be no problem;
How to test temperature display: adjust it up and down, then test temperature of solder tin at 10-15mm with thermometer to judge temperature if it is changing.
4．Confirm lead cutter works well;
How to do it: adjust the height of cutter according to PCB thickness and lead length; fix it and keep stable; Turn on the machine to observe cutter rotating and see fuse device work well.
5．Please ensure preheat system of wave solder machine work well;
Turn on preheat system and observe whether temperature is warm up and normal;
6．Air supply of flux container in wave soldering machine work well;
Pour into flux and adjust air valve; Adjust foam to 1/2 of PCB thickness by PCB sample and then confirm it. When operate wave solder machine, this valve don’t need adjust again.
7. Above all spares work well and then set parameters according to requirement.
