Hi I am pre-final year student.Our project is to copy data from one USB stick to another.I searched a lot for it's feasibility and I found that it is feasible by using FTDI's VNC1L device.But i don't know from where i should start...
can anyone please help me?

FTDI came up with a new chip with host capability, as of now the chip is too costly at approx 280$ .

Copy using a pic?
Have you been able to connect a memory stick to the pic?

yeah i can do that you can interface USB stick to PIC via VNC1L
Can anyone tell me that is it possible to create our own firmware for VNC1l?
