I have been using MBasic and am unfamiliar with PICBasic. I need to use the BASIC POT command that PICBasic has, and which MBasic does not have. Can anyone suggest which compiler to get, i.e. the PIC Basic Pro, and or PIC Basic compiler. Also, will I still be able to download the hex/asm files to PIC chips through the MBasic programmer?

Thanks,
Richard

i'll hardly recommend you PBP... PBC standard version it appear to be a bit more sophiticated than the assembler... worth to get the full PBP... more expensive but you can't be disapointed.

deffinetly pro.

as someone on a tight budget, it seems like a big jump, but really PBC is pretty crippled in my oppinion.

I have both, and PBC is more a demo of PBP.

variables are frustrating, and you can only (easily) use portB with PBC. which will drive you up the wall in your first day.

go with PBP, or don't go at all in my oppinion.
