I had to laugh when I saw the prior thread title.
It's the exact name I used for my board! I am now on the second rev and have learned a lot so far. I just wish I knew about this forum then!

Here's what I have so far:
DB9 connector for ICP and debug.
one 3 pin microfit for I2C (never used it yet but hope to).
three 8 pin minifit for Port A,B,C fanout.
2X16 LCD panel 4 bit prewired to port C.
four 3pin microfit for sensors with +5V and GND to Port B.
four N-channel FET's to drive motors/relays off VCC2 power
one 3 pin minifit for power input
one 7805 to run the PIC16F876A and Max232 etc.
8 LED's prewired to port B with jumpers
2 LED's on RX/TX between DB9 and Max232 for commo
2 PBNO switches for program input.

What has everyone else found helpful on their universal boards and why?

Thanks for the input.
