Hi again

Have modified my last post

http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10834

8x8 LED Matrix display, scrolling the temperature in degrees C.
have added 2 buttons to the circuit (up & down)
the project still scrolls the temperature, but when 1 of the buttons is pushed the game starts.

the display scrolls a road / river, which you have to navigate by moving the postion of the car/boat up or down, shown in the 1st column on the left.
at the end of the game after a collision the level reached is scrolled across the display.

the code is far from perfect....but seems to work ok...im still learning!

It's a ULN2004AN

http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Texas-Instruments/ULN2004AN/?qs=w32V8uFkMxn02LL5%252bUI3Dw==

It is a darlington transistor high current driver capable of 500mA per channel.

They also make an 8 bit one ULN2803 that would eliminate the need for a second package.

The UTC ULN2004 are high-voltage, high-current darlington
drivers comprised of seven NPN darlington pairs.

EDIT: Weird, Heckler's post didn't show up until after I posted?

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :D

when I 1st came up with this I had some ULN2004's at home, and wasn't aware of the ULN2803 existing

both ULN2004's can be swopped for 1 ULN2803 which will work the same

cheers
