Hi Guys,
Up for sale is a new 40x4 LCD display with EL backlight.
It still has the protective tape over the screen,
and comes with a test circuit with program that prints
my name to the screen, and scrolls various characters,
and comes with pinout data sheet.

Individual characters are larger than typical small 2 line display.
Your PicBASIC program can talk to it just like them.

Asking for $60 plus postage (I'm near Brisbane Australia).
Cheers, Art.

I don't know what chip is onboard, but as a display it is completely compatible with the Hitachi HD44780 based LCD displays sold at Dick Smith, Jaycar, and everywhere else, so if you can talk to them, you can talk to this. I actually use the exact same routines.

Actual visible display dimensions are 260x71mm.

I have also found the complete datasheet on my hard drive and upped it to Megaupload:

I've got 4 of those exact same LCD panels...bought them about 5 years ago off eBay...couldn't find any datasheets, couldn't find nothing on them...so they sat, rusting away in the junk bin...UNTIL NOW!!! Don't remember what I paid for them, doesn't matter now. They're on the way to becoming big ol' debugging panels for future use.
Thanks again...
